CORBERÁN: "THE GAME AGAINST UD LAS PALMAS IS VITAL"
The coach previews Saturday's LaLiga encounter in the Canary Islands
Just eight games before the end of the season, Valencia CF are in their best form of the campaign. The team are firmly embroiled in the battle for fourth place in LaLiga, and after their 2-1 win against Real Madrid on Wednesday night they are just a point off fourth place and the Champions League spots.
The final place for Europe's top club competition is currently occupied by Getafe with 47 points, whilst on Thursday night rivals Sevilla (43pts) and Deportivo Alavés (44pts) face one another at the Sánchez Pizjuán.
Valencia CF have taken 11 more points from the 11 games held so far in the second half of the season, in which they have yet to be beaten in league action. They have also scored more goals than in the first half of the campaign, and their defence is among the best in all of Europe.
The next game to tick off the list is against Rayo Vallecano away on Saturday (6:30pm CEST), as the season finale draws ever closer.
